Dang these are really awesome. Way better than those overly produced ones you always find on corporate shops. You should sell these, I'd rock one at ren faire

Man, those are absolutely fantastic. I don't suppose you sell them online somewhere?

Thank you! No I don't sell them but if you want to they are not really that hard to make.

Get a wood stick of the desired girth in home depot for about a dollar, an exacto knife, sanding paper an the cheapest wood stain you can buy. I learned how to do basic cuts safely watching a couple of youtube videos.

When I began, each wand took me like one hour and a half to make, so not a lengthy task.

This is really neat! I love that each one is unique. I've wanted to whittle before, but was never sure where to start. Any recommendations for videos to watch?

Surething. Basic cuts for beginners: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ve-jVpUIE-E&ab_channel=CarvingisFun Mistakes to avoid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWNV0lf9FAA&ab_channel=CarvingisFun

I didnt have access to great tools. I use an exacto knife, but if you get the chance to get a good knife you should. I also use pine, far from ideal. I tell you this because you shouldn't get discouraged to try even if you don't have the ideal conditions.

Thank you! For the links, and the encouragement. You seem like a good dad!

You are very welcome. And I hope I am!
