While I personally enjoy finding all this naturally on my own, there are some items on this list I wish I knew about a little earlier compared to when I found out. Like Hot-keying weapons and aid took me a little bit to realize on Xbox, I also haven't gotten as far in the main mission as they suggest, so who knows, everyone has different styles on how they play.

One small tip is that when you favourite your space suit in inventory you will automatically put on your helmet. One less button to press if you're like me and take your suit off in atmosphere.

There's actually a toggle for that go to the spacesuit screen and there's a button for hide in settlements Same for the helmet and breathable spaces

But still take it off in stealth missions, as the invisible spacesuit still increases your noise level.

The game does not tell you how to manipulate objects. Hold the interact key/button for 3+ seconds. Now you can decorate your ship!

Right up until you get it repainted and come back to find your succulent collection in the ship's hold.

Another tip to access ship inventory: When you are close to your ship (<150m?) go to the ship menu (bottom left section in the menu) and you will have a button to access the inventory (X on Xbox). No need to climb inside the cockpit.
