There are now 3 additional sorting options, allowing you to sort by Top posts in the last 1, 6 and 12 hours.

Don't forget you can go into your settings and set the default to what you prefer.

That's great news. How does the updates work across the servers. Are they manual or automatically rolled out?

I am on feddit.uk and it's still on 0.17.4

It's up to the admin of your instance (server).

It will take a while for other instances to upgrade. Many of the are waiting a few days for v0.18.1 which brings a specific type of captcha that works with the HTTP request based of networking which v.0.18 uses.

This is probably it. I only updated because I have registrations disabled. Upgrading was fast and easy, and I’m happy to see the improvements!

When I’m on the home page of lemmy.world on my mobile browser, the feed keeps popping up with new posts. Is this happening you guys too?

If you scroll to the bottom of the page you can see what version your instance is running. This is a feature for v0.18

Are Hot and Active fixed, or is flipping between New and Top still the best way to browse?

They seem fixed for me. I am getting much better content with Hot now.
