"became"? "became"? jesus fucking christ, christianity at it's core has always been white supremacy, it's like no one reads history from Constantine, through The Crusades, The Spanish Inquisition, and the Holocaust. "became" "became" fuck fuck fuck fuck

Of of curiosity, if this is your position, why do you belong to the Christian community of lemmy.ml?

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Ephesians 4:29

I have not encountered that news source before, but it appears to be a leftist anti-Christian news source. I find the article difficult to take seriously when they cite the SLPC in the first paragraph as if they're even slightly credible. The one dude was excommunicated by the Orthodox, and now needs to travel all the way to Romania just for communion. This article is a farce meant to discredit the Orhodox, and to discredit Christians in general.

The SPL is established by Christians. In my experience the only people who speak ill of it are racists.

The Orthodox church is a kind, welcoming church of ancient and apostolic origin. It also has clear beliefs and, in my experience, makes an effort to hold it's clergy accountable for deviations from the teachings of Christ and the apostles. Clergy get suspended/deposed for far more pedestrian infractions. There is no home for such people in the church. I encourage you to attend a parish and judge for yourself. As the user above mentioned as well, the person in question was excommunicated.
