I tried to get into ck2 when it was made free, but got really turned off by the fact that everything seemed locked behind dlc. So, if these keys are still available, I'll take what you're willing to give me! I'd also appreciate any tips you can share. Thanks in advance!

I played many hundreds of hours exploiting the game mechanic and coloring the map in my color. That's fun - it really is. But even greater fun after fully grasping all of the game mechanics is ignoring them in favor of roleplay, in my opinion. Choosing the decisions of events and your own goals based on your character's traits was quite the interesting experience and a very enjoyable change of pace.
Edit: Also mods. Lots of mods. The modding community for CK2 is awesome.
