I've definitely found myself leaning more towards escapism in fiction than reading nonfiction. After the last few years I've had enough of reality for a bit.

Totally fair. Plus the fall in Nonfiction coincides with a fall in book buying in general (although at a greater rate.) I guess people have less money and time for books at the moment.
