Mabuhay at maligayang pag-alis sa Lemmy! โœˆ๏ธ

An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

r/Gulong is a subreddit for discussing cars in the Philippines. Is there a Lemmy community similar to this?

I'd love to see more established subs move to Lemmy. I miss r/FilmClubPH, r/PHGamers (mods decided to just abandon Reddit outright), and to some extent r/PHinvest.

The PH Fediverse sidebar is a little lonely.

Lurker ako ng r/PHCreditcards. Last month ko lang naappreciate yung phr4friends into making new connections na hindi sex-driven. ~~Doesn't mean I don't go to phr4r though~~. I hope those subs also migrate. Other than that wala na rin naman akong ibang PH subs na fini-frequent.

Where did phgamers go? Used to frequent that sub but stopped when I joined lemmy so I'm not updated.

They collectively decided to opt out of Reddit completely instead of just shutting down for two days or indefinitely. They're in Discord now while they plan where/when to set up their community, which would likely be a self-hosted forum ala Vbulletin or PhpBB.
