It's that shitty beard cut. It's meant to make your jaw look more square, but he's already got a square jaw (looks like plastic surgery though) and then adding the beard like that makes it look like a plastic mask that doesn't fit properly. My ex had a fettish for scary masks, and this dude would probably still traumatize her once she realized it's his real face.
Man that gives me a lot to ponder.
But most importantly you're saying I can finally have the square jaw of my dreams?
The beard line can only do so much but it can make it look more square. Tbh a well trimmed full beard does the job better though
