A man died while trying to rescue children at a waterfall in Bannau Brycheiniog, also known as Brecon Beacons National Park. At 4.40pm on Friday, September 1, police were called to a report that a man had gone into the water at Sgwd Y Pannwr waterfall, Ystradfellte to rescue two children and not come out.

Why does the article say nothing about whether the kids are safe?

Yeah I was looking exactly for this. I can only hope that they are indeed safe.

EDIT: Found this article which I believe states they got out okay.
