Hi all! Decided to start a general discussion thread just for any random thoughts/questions anyone may have. It can be CR related, it doesn't have to be. I'm thinking of creating this in a monthly cadence.

The community isn't very active, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions/requests?

IMPORTANT: If you have a comment or question about an episode, please use the spoiler tag!

That Ultragramps guy comments in threads too much.

What are people's thoughts on the Illuminated World's system? On one hand, I've been digging Candela Obscura, but on the other hand, I can't help but feel that the show is carried in large part by the amazing DMs and PCs and that the system itself is a bit too "loosey-goosey", for lack of a better term, for other people to pick up and play. A lot of game mechanics seem arbitrary and up to the DM to decide when they occur, instead of motivated by a set of rules. For example, whenever a PC takes a body it always seems like it comes out of nowhere. You touch a random object that you don't know has a speck of bleed, you take a body, you open a closet, you take a body, etc. I just feel like with a less than stellar DM, it'd become too arbitrary for most normal players.

EDIT: Also, yes this community isn't very active, but I wanted to say thanks for creating it in the first place! It will grow with time I am sure.

I ended up watching the Titansgrave series (GM: Wil Wheaton and Laura Bailey playing) not long ago and they used a system they said was modified from Kids on Bikes which also uses three 6-sided dice. The easy pro of a system around the standard cube dice is the accessibility to more people, but:

spoilerit is also the most frequently used in magic tricks

Spoiler C1 (Deathwalker's Ward)

At the end of C1, when Vax went to the Matron of Ravens, he just walked off right? There was no body to bury? Does that mean he took the Deathwalker's Ward with him and the vestige is gone from Exandria?

Pretty that's the case. I remember Liam saying he also still had the boots, which Laura had been jealous of for ages.

This is not for an episode, just a general/random thread.

General question: what are you looking for from this community? Anything I can help with to make it more active?
