Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.), the sponsor of the resolution, and other conservatives tried to advance a similar censure measure last week, but 20 Republicans — objecting to language that could have resulted in a $16 million fine for Schiff, unless he resigned from Congress — joined most Democrats to sink it before it came up for a full House vote. Luna removed that provision to allay their concerns.

Luna’s censure measure requires Schiff to stand in the well of the House chamber for a verbal rebuke in addition to triggering an ethics investigation. Democrats rallied behind Schiff after the vote as he walked up to receive the reprimand, chanting “Adam” and “shame” as McCarthy presided over the House chamber.

Starting to feel like a lot of petty house wives type retaliation going on in the House now. There is no point. All there is to get back at you, at all cost.

Meanwhile 1959 years ago. I've always suspected Nero but I doubt evidence will ever surface to prove it.

Adam Schiff is running for Dianne Feinstein's senate seat and the GOP just handed him more free publicity than he could possibly have asked for. Republican party leadership is so woefully incompetent that they would saw off their own legs out of sheer pettiness, forgetting all about the fact that they can no longer walk.

This is the bullshit that angers me most about the GOP. A good number of them run on platforms of economic growth and small government. Then they get into power by nearly the slimmest majority possible and then unilaterally vote to do stupid shit like this. You would think that a handful of them could play the adult in the room, but that's not the case. The party is completely controlled by their most extreme members. No choice but to burn the whole party down and start over.

I’m just glad we didn’t have to see him naked walking on the streets with MTG following him yelling “Shame! Shame!”

Republicans stand fully committed to violating the 9th commandment, all the while claiming to be Christians. Truly a pack of wolves in sheeps clothing, just as Jesus warned us about.
