For a regular US citizen, there may be nothing to see here, but in Ukraine, it's very rare for the police to use weapons on the street. I haven't heard a single occasion in all my 37 years of life here in Kyiv.

The dude had been given a bajillion chances to de escalate but him and his dumb polka dot bitch thought they were kings and the police peasants. Dude gave 2 blacks eyes and possibly broke the nose of the female officer and also possibly drew blood on the male officer. Here in America we call that, "Fuck around, Find out."
It is Ukraine, that's why the officer has been detained not promoted and protected.
