Will it work after the APIs are turned off? If not, will the bot scrape for the content?

It doesn't use the API, it uses the json pages. If those get changed then the developer is planning on scraping.

The JSON page is a part of the API, sadly.

Just be careful of video or images actually hosted on Reddit then.

Without a doubt. I'm hoping for that sort of exclusionary process from anyone trying to provide content, and especially for anyone trying to migrate lots of content.
