Like the article says, Phil did hint that this would be coming eventually. Everything's more expensive, so I never expected it to last as long as it did at its current price. That said, $17/mo for Game Pass Ultimate is still cheaper than a 4K Netflix plan, so it's a no-brainer for me to keep, even though PS+ Premium has been a better bargain lately.

Thankfully I took advantage of deals to stack multiple years of subscription for both plans so I don't have to start actually paying for them again until 2026

You're right, that price is such a steal when you compare it to TV streaming services nowadays, which struggle to put out content of any decent quality and still want more money from us. At any point I can go through Game Pass and find at least 2-3 interesting new games to try.
