Every season it gets closer and closer. Luckily we have moto 3 to continue enjoying motorcycling.
I stopped watching moto3. There were too many deaths for me to enjoy it.
Deaths? When? I'm sure it happens, but frequently enough to stop watching is surprising to hear. I'm gonna have to look into that for sure.
Not in the MotoGP Moto3. But in series that use Moto3 machinery and have very similar fields.
In 2021: Moto3: Jason Dupaspier Supersport 300: Berta Vinales European Talent Cup: Hugo Milan
That was the series that broke my enjoyment. 3 deaths in a few months. And every weekend crashes that are just inches away from tragedy. I just couldnt get enjoyment out of Moto3 anymore since at every crash I had to switch off
Ah ok. Thank you for the reply. I'll check into that.
I don't think he is the first to say this. It's a real shame, I remember a few years ago having 3 or 4 different manufacturers up front regularly. I want to see Marc and Fabio competing with Pecco and Binder.
With new prodigies like Acosta coming through, I can just see them not making an impression if something doesn't change with the regulations.
So wouldn´t the logical solution be to turn it into a one manufacturer event? I mean, if the talent of guys like MM or FQ, who are seriously good riders, is not enough to make their bikes keep up with bikes from Ducati or KTM, what´s the solution here? If ONLY the rider should make the difference, EVERYTHING else needs to be the same, right?
I don't think having a single-brand competition is a good thing. In my opinion, they should regulate aerodynamics with certain restrictions. Nowadays, with the pressure exerted by aerodynamics, all the drivers brake very late. They have only one efficient line to follow. It's like going on rails. I think that introducing a regulation for aerodynamics (perhaps restricting the size to certain maximum measurements) and, above all, introducing a second brand of tires, we would begin to witness a "competition" again. I even think that the unique electronic control unit is a serious mistake.
