I know you have a lot going on right now, so I'm gonna cut Kbin a lot of slack. The simple ability to search, view, and subscribe to "magazines" is the best feature. But I have notes:

  1. Move OP reply box to the top of the page. Took me forever to figure out how to reply to the OP.

  2. Remove pages. Just put it all on one page, please. This just causes unnecessary loading.

  3. expand "magazines" to show what instance they are located on.

  4. Eliminate the new vocabulary. Nobody knows what a "magazine" is. Nor do they know what is an "article" in this context. The + button should just be "submit new post" and then you should be able to type text, upload media, or post a link from there.

  1. Comments and trees being collapsible would be awesome.

  1. It forces people to actually read the comments rather than just post their 2 cents that have already been mentioned dozens of time.
  2. People have their preferences, not everyone likes infinite scrolling. I believe there’s a setting for this.
  3. I agree
  4. This site doesn’t need to be an exact copy of Reddit. The “Microblog” section of a “Magazine” is truly unique and has amazing potential. All content related to its magazine from the wider fediverse will be placed in there. I do think it needs a lot of work and in its current state it won’t be engaged that much on Kbin.

There is already an infinite scroll setting. Just hit the gear and select "Infinite Scroll: Yes"

while yes, that doesn't work for comments I think.

oh gawd, thanks to this I've just realized I made a post earlier when I should've made an "article".

Most of these are supported in my theme (if you don't mind the austere appearance), and can be used in conjunction with my scripts to add what you asked for.

As for no. 2: not sure what you are referring to by "all," here. What content specifically? You mean show everything before the page fold?

As for no. 3: what page is that? Aren't magazines appended with an @ if they are on other instances?

Also check https://kbin.social/m/kbinStyles for a wealth of other client-side scripts to hot-rod your experience

I think there's a tracker issue for all of these on Codeberg already .. it's just that the backlog went from 15 issues to 380 over night while ernest has been battling with site uptime.

I disagree somewhat. Magazine is just fine. This doesn't have to conform to Reddit or Lemmy standards. It doesn't take long to understand and it kinda makes sense.

The article/post thing: Should probably rename the "Microblog" to "Posts" and Threads to "Articles" - that way the naming and placing of those would be consistent in the UI and it would be easy to understand which section the content ends up in.

I think something I greatly anticipate would be a notification menu that (yes I know) is more like reddit meaning it just opens a bubble instead of going to a different page.

Huh, Reddit also goes to a page, does it not?
