Hmmm... anyone knows the resources a matrix instance uses? Depending on how much is I could host one as long as someone helps with sysadmin management.

It honestly depends. There's a couple of different backend matrix servers, some more polished than other. The biggest issue that tends to cause the most issues is federation, especially the main .org instance. For whatever reason gathering logs from federated public chat's on matrix.org can bring even a beefy server to knees if you aren't careful.
If I knew anything about Matrix, let alone Matrix sysadmin work, I would totally help. That's why I'm on bark.lgbt's Matrix server instead lol
