What are all of you folks thinking about the new patch so far?

Personally, I’ve only done games against friends today, but I’ve loved the changes. Damage being overall lower is nice, even if people have more ways to do it now with the WA and their own changes. Scaling being increased almost across the board is huge, because it feels a lot less bad to make a single mistake.

For Testament (my main) specifically, I love what I got. Arbiter launching higher has been nice and opens up some new opportunities for combos, and Wild Assault even goes as far as letting me do a wall-to-wall now. My damage did get hit a little, but it doesn’t feel nearly as heavily lowered as some, like Ram.

Obviously it’s the first day and there’s some honeymoon-period excitement, but I’m excited so far. How are all of you feeling about it?

I tried to do the new mid-air teleport mixup and still got read like a book so never again.

It's actually pretty fun so far; I haven't played much yet and I'm not the type to lab new combos but the most notable change for me was wild assault. It's been fun to use and I feel like everyone has a wall-to-wall combo now lol.

The arbiter changes felt a little underwhelming, is it mainly used with RC and wild assault for combos? It felt to me like it mainly gives a little better corner pressure. I'm not complaining though, and again I haven't really spent much time on it.

I'm looking forward to seeing all the nasty stuff people come up with.

I agree damage being nerfed overall in Strive is always welcome. The new system mechanics feel like a breath of fresh air but I'm not too sure how Wild Assault functionally differentiates from RC in a more significant way. Hopefully the uses will be more varied.

Sol's changes feel mediocre at best though. Fafnir reaching further feels like it doesn't mean anything since it almost reached fullscreen before anyway. Now you can reach further without dash momentum and kara canceling but that doesn't benefit people who already could do that. I don't mind Sol getting overall nerfed but the problem is he lost tools again two years in a row. Gunflame still feels shit to use as well.

Apart from there being two other variants of Wild Assault, it also denies your opponent burst for the rest of the combo. For my main, Goldlewis, it also solves his problems with getting zoned out.

True, depending on your character you might get some utility. But since I play Sol in Strive Wild assault feels like you got the Burst drain from Xrd Blitz Shield and put it on a streamlined RC.
