This community is still tiny compared to r/formula1, but it's growing at a good pace. We're getting lots of posts here.
Lemmy itself is a bit rough around the edges, but development has been accelerated by the influx of new users.
Sync for Lemmy is in development so a nice 3rd party app is on the way!

Given that there were only 2-3 ppl sporadically posting before the reddit thing it’s picking up.

I think the people complaining about how boring the race is, are still missing.
Platform is basically fine from a users POV, I see some people complaining about the lack of mod tools. One annoying thing is because different instances, there are at least 2 F1 communities. I've seen the diehards say it's by design etc etc but that doesn't stop it being annoying as a user.
Also it's much quieter, which is a blessing and a curse. More than zero people means it's at least active enough to be worth checking, but the size of /r/formula1 plus the voting system meant the top comments were usually pretty good, its more of a mixed bag here.

It will grow over time. Spez hasn’t COMPLETELY killed Reddit yet so give it a few more weeks…
Its amazing how he's managed to wreck his platform. Thought Elons destruction was impressive but Spez really went for it.
Growing that's for sure, more so as the reddit debacle continues...
This will likely grow more once the third party apps die off and it Fuhrer Spez keeps driving people out.
The good thing with this debacle is that the lazy content consumers will stay there and the more tech-savvy will try and come over, making this feel like old reddit.
Just making a post here, first on Lemmy, that I'm also here as part of the exodus. Hopefully this can be our new home!
