It doesn't work in my case since the current theme isn't saved
Just open the theme from "Manage Themes" and apply, it will show on "Your Themes", then you can share
How do I open "the theme"? There are only predefined themes listed but not the current app settings.
You're are trying to use one of the default themes from 'Infinity for Reddit', right?
They are available on Eternity, go to Settings -> Theme -> Manage Theme. And pick one of the Indigo that you want.
Is that easy, don't need to over-complicate.
Omg no. I described everything in the original post...
Funny update: I exported the settings both from Eternity and Infinity, replaced the eu.toldi.infinityforlemmy.dark_theme.txt file in the Eternity export with the one from Infinity, imported back, and it works, but it's the same problem as before, the theme is active but invisible in settings.
The format of the .txt file isn't the same as of the export, so can't be imported.
Also off topic sidenote: I found you can delete and replace files in a password-protected zip file? How's that?
In order to customize the theme you'll need to hit manage themes, them the plus sign next to the theme of choice, it will them populate in the customization section, then just select it and make the changes as you like, just remember to save..(tick box, top right hand corner)
Ya but I don't want to customise some other theme, I want to save the existing settings as a new theme. Dunno how to do that, or even if it should be possible to get to this state with an unsaved active theme.
Sorry I misunderstood, wonder if you could go to manage themes, hit the plus icon to add a new theme, would that then save the current active theme settings...🤷🏻♂️
No, that just offers me to edit the 3 top themes, or import one from clipboard.
Ahhh, tricky...🤔
