How much of this was soldered by you vs the pcb manufacture? Boards without a separate MCU have always fascinated me, but I haven't been able to price one out because haven't been able to figure out how to use JLBPCP's pcb assembly service.

Rules
Keep it ergo
Posts must be of/about keyboards that have a clear delineation between the left and right halves of the keyboard, column stagger, or both. This includes one-handed (one half doesn't exist, what clearer delineation is that!?)
i.e. no regular non-split¹ row-stagger and no non-split¹ ortholinear²
¹ split meaning a separation of the halves, whether fixed in place or entirely separate, both are fine.
² ortholinear meaning keys layed out in a grid

I only soldered the mcu module and the hs sockets. Usually also prefer seperate mcu board for flexibility and repairability
Do the thumb keys do the h-line and f-line modifiers? I've never seen a katakana board in action.
it's just the legends, i'm not typing katakana with it 😅
I really enjoy the board, but the thumbs are waaaay too tucky for me
Yeah... I took one look at that image and my thumbs started cramping up right away. ;)
It does look very snazzy, though!
when ignoring the tucky thumb keys it's quite nice :)
Nice Schiff ;-) Do you want to add a pic from the inside, showing the silk?
Oh, sure! And maybe post some pics of your own chiffs, too! 😏
You're right, I really should
