Tonight's Ask PHLemmy: What would you do with an extra $1900 a month?

An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! 🇵🇭
Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

I can quit my job if I find a better one with less hours, less work, not attendance-based and not on the night shift since that amount is already enough to cover living expenses plus extra for the shit I actually want to do, like travel alone. I might even go back to school to further my education or find a new field of study.
107k extra is more than enough to cover the mortgage for most houses. That's where mine is going for sure.
invest into real estate.
ambantot ng phlemmy hahaha inuubo ba tayo
Yung last meme ba, tungkol sa mga anak na ginagawang investment ng mga magulang?
Tumpak hahaha
Edit: I just wanted to do JMC, but I needed a couple more to complete the joke.
So last week I confessed on Reddit that I had a crush on my then-colleague who turned out to be Christian Bautista's wife.
And I did it, not on r/ph, but on r/indonesia
I had a dream where I met a French baker and he fed me a lot of freshly baked bread and pastries for free. Pinauwi niya pa ako ng mga goodies and said that when I run out of bread or the bread goes stale balik lang ako sa kanya. Ginawa daw niya yun kasi mukhang na-enjoy ko talaga yung gawa niya.
It was very good, high quality bread, parang pang European standards with strict quality control standards lol. I swear I could almost taste it, yung bibig ko ngumunguya tapos nagising na lang ako dahil sa jaw movement. It's the kind of bread na ingredients pa lang guilt-free na kasi wala talaga yung extra stuff they put in modern day bread.
Okay na ang pandesal mamaya 😆
Marami pa talaga ako gusto iunpack tungkol sa movie kahapon. Nakakainis kasi na di napanood nung isang kasama ko dapat. Dinidebrief namin yung isa't isa after watching something like that.
Kahapon may isang comment about a superhero movie having a nostalgic 2000 vibe. I'm not really sure if it was an insult for the superhero movie, kasi for me, kapag sinabi na parang mga naunang Marvel movies, medyo sablay na sa akin for this era.
Two weeks. Pahinga lang ako saglit.
I had a dream the other day, it must have been a movie of some sort with 3 Asian-Caucasian guys (probably of East Asian Korean descent) who went back to their country after a war (I think it was). They shot up a gate manned with 1 or 2 Chinese guards (who they killed) to access a building, and they were almost killed by the group of Chinese secret agents who lived in that building when they were saved by the leader of the group, who said the 3 were deep cover agents from the war (which wasn't the case). But the 3 did meet the guy before. It was a confusing dream and that was most of what I remember.
Kingina. Biglaang announcement ng schedule change, effective na sa Wednesday. I hate my job, but I just have no choice.
