This wasnt a ratings decision, this was a "Fuck WGA/SAG-AFTRA" decision

Yeah, it’s unfortunate. I loved the story, so it sucks.
Exactly. There were a ton of casualties like this during the last strike.
There will be more on the chopping block, all because the platforms don't want to share the profits with the writers from the golden goose they found with the new streaming era.
Darn, first season was pretty interesting
Aw man! I've been waiting for it to come back. 😩
Guess I won't bother after all.
Still worth watching season 1, I think. It was quite good.
I agree. It was fun and still ended well.
Did it end on a hook, or did they close the season?
The season was closed well enough. Like any show they left room for a second season, but also like any show they know there's usually no guarantee of a second season.
And it's TOTALLY worth watching it. It's a brilliant show.
Plus I'm betting it gets picked up by Apple TV after the strike is over.
I’ll have to find my way over to the old schooner, then. Arr!
They closed the season but left room for the story to continue. Doesn’t end on any sort of cliffhanger if that’s what you mean. TBH, not worth it.
Yes, that’s what I was looking for. I don’t spend much time anymore watching serial shows because it seems like more often than not they don’t bring closure to the season; they use it as a continuous hook from season to season and I’m kinda over that. Thank you
God dammit.
I was about to give it a try. Amazon has quite a few sci-fi series in the past few years, I assume most get canceled tho.
This doesn't give me much hope for the Three-Body Problem on Netflix. Great series, but it's definitely too much of a slow-burn to ever get a second season.
Cost cutting is more a peril to a streaming business than loosing money as cost cutting does not care about content.
