How’s we all doing? The Hi-Cane spraying next door has started. Luckily it was early and there’s not much wind today.

Got an idea for next month's banner?
How long does that usually take?
Just had another text, so 3 hours spraying or thereabouts.
I know, or at least we read, this shouldn’t cause any problems unless you are actually spraying the stuff. We have a tall shelter-belt that we refuse to have lowered, just in case.
I read previously that dogs shouldn’t be allowed in the orchard for 3 days after spraying Hi-Cane.
They spray very often, though it’s typically more benign stuff like copper and foliage feed.
Interesting.
I just looked up what a "Shelter Belt" was, and finally know the proper name for them :)
Plenty of them up here. We have pines plus bamboo. Both are invasive, especially the bamboo.
I'd love to be on a section that's all "fenced" off with these :)
The issue is keeping all the invasive stuff controlled. Up here, plants, and weeds, grow very rapidly all year. It’s to some extent happened worse in the past 2-3 years. Our winters are now seemingly not as cold as they were some years back. Need to mow the grass very often now, even in winter, not like it used to be.
Yeah, especially this winter, seems like it was very warm (even compared to last year it feels like)
