Geocaching is a worldwide scavenger hunt that uses a GPS or phone app with GPS. There are over 3 million active caches around the world. Some are as small as a dime, others are big enough to walk into, all of them provide a unique adventure. We invite you to share your stories, photos, and experiences!

My kids and I used to do this all the time. Lots of great memories. About the time the geocaching app in the Apple Store stopped working and they created a new subscription app, we quit. Any app recommendations for getting back into this? Anything free out there, or is it all subscription-based?

I was definitely into caching for a long time before I bought Geocaching Premium. Unfortunately I don't have an iPhone, but most of my iOs-using friends prefer Cachly. I believe that's not entirely free though -- $5 one-time payment, which is still better than a subscription... I've been using c:geo for ages, but I'm not sure that's available for iOs

Same here. Just logged back into geocaching and see that they still have caches you have to pay to see. Bummer.
