I've translated the whole text contained in the afformentiod text book, not just the highlited part which is here in italics:

ps: forgot to add but my family is what you call a "traditional family" and they did jack to guarantee "proper development" of me when i was a kid. honestly i feel like "traditional families" tend to be the most abusive most of the time.

This country is one of the most fucked up in Europe, catholic fundamentalists orbiting around fascism, an U$ lapdog of course, 200 years mentally lagged. I am a Pole, thus this is not a foreigner's insult. I hate PiS too, but they are the only feasible way to hurt neoliberals. Besides, another 4 year of their rules will make young people to be completely disgusted by catholic church and conservatives. Never before so many young people resigned from religion lessons or practicing church masses. Always look at the bright sides of life 😁 But seriously, take me from this shithhole too!

No matter if PiS or PO take power we are fucked and under control of the bourgeoisie... But I'd really like some laws at least pretending to help LGBT people. I've got a trans friend and just want her to be safe...

I wouldn't also stray into thinking accelerationism really is the better way, lest it bites us in the ass... And don't think I'm a "Vote." type guy either lmao.

I'm going to commit apostasy soon, I was also one of the students who rejected religion in highschool at the ripe old age of 18. I really hated it, but my classmates made up for it by making the matters more philosophical.

But hey as you say, look at the bright side! The capitalist freedom spearheaded by religious zealots was the spelling of their doom. Death to catholicism, to christianity, to abrahamism, to religion. I've had enough of this brainrot.

I think that the only party which currently can make any difference to LGBT people is Lewica, but it has no political power. Fortunatelly, the world goes forward, so I hope that it will be increasingly more difficult to righ-wing fucks to discriminate these people, both to politicians, as for common people. At least in cities, some rural areas still live in the dark ages.

Yes, I am aware of that, but still this is not the level of neoliberalism of PO-Confederation-Petru who perceives poor people who gets 500+ (frequently poor because of neoliberalism and balcerowicz policy) as a patology and demanding lazy bastards. PiS may be indeed social darwinists, but at least they do not say it publicly. But I know, this is no excuse to PiS, and I suppose that I will vote to no one. Or maybe to Lewica which may do something good to LGBT people, but economically they are not true leftists and they are politically unsignificant. Anyway, I do admit that PISs and POo are equally disqusting.

I wonder if this will have an end someday in our lives. But I conjecture that this is not possible by democratic ways, also there is no spectre of revolution in Poland. Maybe China will invide Russia and Central Europe and introduce communism UwU. While unprobable, I think closest to probable in this century.

Currently, i don't see any change for the better coming from inside. People who didn't rise against the horrors of capitalism restitution and the next generations who grow into its consequences surrounded by the nearly impregnable ideological shell simply are not equipped for any change.

Right now the first objective i see which can start to erode that is from the outside: dissolving of the US empire and their tools: NATO and European Union. As long as those three exist and function, they can be no meaningful change for the better.

From the more learned ones you will probably also hear about polish tolerance for Jews in medieval times, which is true, and about the saving Jews in WW2 which is also somewhat true, but not many rightwingers here like to talk about Jews since they fear their inner antisemite will make them go mask off. Well, those that are mask off already do love to talk about Jews, usually making face as above.

Note that the man who broke the silence on polish stance against the Jews in and around WW2, prof. Jan Tomasz Gross is right now the ideological enemy number 1 of all polish catofash. Especially the work about Jedwabne pogrom is causing them to froth. Iirc they even went to Paris once to crash his lecture.

I just got back from visiting Poland for the first time, and this is something that puzzels me.

Having visited plenty of places that show what the result is of this hatred towards their fellow humans like the Ghettos and Auschwitz-Birkenau and hearing the stories about life under communism, you’d think they’d know better than this.

Seems like some people in Poland have forgotten the lessons their own history teaches us.

Poland abandoned the knowledge of loving other human beings in 1989. The loss of PRL was the biggest fuckup our country has ever made, and now we are becoming the nazis we supposedly hate.

The stories od life under communism you've heard are probably how life was under martial law from 1981 to 1989 and for some reason that's how the think the entirety of PRL was like. Newsflash buddy, anything pre 1989 was miles better than whatever we have now.
