Welcome to the Experiencers community! This is the official companion to the r/Experiencers community on Reddit. We’re just learning how to use Lemmy but wanted to stake our claim before we lost our chance, so…here we are!

This community is very different from many you’re used to because it’s intended as a Safe Space for Experiencers. That means we don’t allow debunking or offering prosaic explanations for other people’s experiences.

All of the rules are listed below. We ask for your help in following them, since we’re not sure on Lemmy how to enforce them (yet!).

Please be respectful, and join us on our confusing ride into whatever the hell is going on in the universe…

-No debunking or offering prosaic explanations for people’s experiences. Prosaic explanations are always available—but they aren’t always true.

-Be polite. No name-calling, no accusations of dishonesty, no attacking character, no accusations or diagnosing of mental health problems.

-No UFO sightings. There are other communities better suited to that. This community is aimed at people who believe they have had contact with non-human intelligence.

-Our community believes that no one has “the truth” about what is happening. You can offer up theories, but presenting them as fact is frowned upon. This includes dogmas and religions such as Prison Planet, Allies of Humanity, etc. The NHI are not all good, or all bad. They have as much variation as people do.

-Bad Apples rule: users who are frequently embroiled in conflict or otherwise seem to be trolling may be removed at moderator discretion.
