A refugee community for r/TheGoodPlace

Rules are generally the same as on the sub, except you don’t have to worry about flairs or spoiler flags since it doesn’t look like Lemmy supports that on posts.

There is a comment spoiler tag, though—it looks like an exclamation point with a triangle around it—so you can use that to hide major spoilers if you like. Use your discretion. Spoiler tagging isn’t required, but it is a nice thing to do.

Beyond that, just make sure your posts are about The Good Place and that you try to be good to each other. It’s better than not trying.

Nope, you’re dead!

Or digital, anyway…

It's still early days, but it might not hurt to have some rules and everything set up, just in case.

Since the community is new, having some structure might help people get acclimated, especially since it's empty for the time being.

Very good idea, and I absolutely want to do that, I just don’t know how!

Does Lemmy have a rules wiki? CSS support? Anything analogous to AutoModerator? Scheduled posts (if we decide to do a Rewatch here)?

I am a total noob, so if there is some kind of guide around here please send me a link.

I don't think that there are, unfortunately. You can set the community banner and icon, but nothing quite like the custom CSS that Reddit allows.

No bots or post scheduling at the moment, so no Automoderator just yet.

You'll basically have to do everything by hand for the time being, write your own bot, or hope that someone has already written the bot for you.

Okay, thanks for the info. I appreciate it. :)
