In response, EY announced a fund in February 2022 to reimburse up to $800 per year for commuting, pet care and dependent care costs for each of its 55,000-plus U.S. employees.

It's amazing how paying employees to do things makes them happier. It's almost as if it shows they're valued.

I'm shocked how that portion of the article was delivered as a positive. The amount offered per employee is insultingly low. When my kid was in full time care, that $800 wouldn't even cover a month. I can only imagine costs have gone up since then.

$800 doesn’t even cover 2 weeks of childcare.
