It's a bit overwhelming at first but after only a couple of days I got used to it.

I don't understand what's happening and how but i somehow enjoy it
It takes some adjustment. I was gonna keep reddit but I ended up deleting it and all the apps. I'd love to say it was because of Lemmy but I think his whole saga showed me how addicted I was getting to the platform and that it was better to cut bait for good. I did the same with Twitter as well (or deactivated it, for some reason they don't let you straight up delete it right away)
Between the rss feed I have set up, Lemmy, and my insta, discord and text groups I think I'm pretty satisfied. I get all my news and content with far less algorithm shenanigans, low effort spam and rage baiting.
I joined when the blackout started and it's been so exciting to see the explosion of growth over the past few days.
Lemmy is kind of weird, but like, good weird.
We're from entirely separate instances and interacting with each other's content just because I follow the main sub of your community. Once you realize how awesome that is it kind of blows your mind.
Is there a place I can go and find out what each button mean? I am trying to figure my way around, and I am a tech-idiot. Like, what does boost mean?
Yeah it's weird at first, but you get used to it pretty quickly, I'm enjoying it a lot now.
