What can we do to make kbin/lemmy easier for blind people? (kbin.social)

One of the problems with Dig five point zero's api changes is how it will effect blind people who use apps not approved by the CEO. What can we do to help them get settled into Kbin/Lemmy?

I'd say adding image captions would help a lot, though I don't know because I'm not blind

I was told accessibility on the registration page was awful by one of my friends on mastodon a few days back.
