Assassin's Creed Mirage map size is comparable to the size of AC Unity's Paris and AC Revelations' Constantinople.

When i first heard Ubi were doing a more traditional AC game I was quite excited. However, after seeing the gameplay showcase I'm not totally sold on it. Basim's seemingly magic teleport ability really threw me off, I know past ACs had hints of magic with the Apple of Eden but that never affected gameplay. The parkour/freerunning also looks quite stilted and clunky. I'll keep an eye on it in the coming months but at the moment it's a wait for sale game for me.

Yeah, I'm with you. The mark-and-execute with the bird and the teleport are not the fantasy I was after from AC1 and Unity. They'll put this game out, see that it doesn't sell as well as Valhalla, and then tell everyone that the market doesn't want that type of game even though they didn't really build what people wanted. You know, just like Mirror's Edge's sequel being open world.

Personally really excited for a denser, hopefully more handcrafted world.

Also, very surprised how few people heard of Ubisoft doing a classic AC/modern AC split. There's a ton of folks who are only hearing about it now.

Yea, I really hope they go back to the more dense AC 2 Florence vibe with this one

The gameplay preview really gave me that feeling, at least in terms of gameplay. We'll have to see if Basim is as charming as Ezio, though, I think that may be tough :D
