Most people online seemingly prefer to live in a shit hole without any infrastructure at all then to discuss how to fix their government to reduce waste of tax money...

The fix is easy. Guillotines. Corrupt politicians. CEOs. Anyone with a net worth over a certain amount.
Off with their heads.

Well? Would it really be the worst idea, moving forward??
It wasn't called the Reign of Terror for nothing dude. It was an awful idea that created a lot of innocent suffering.
Guillotines...
I would remind you that the people who started the reign of terror by calling for and lopping off the heads of the nobility ended up taking La Monte-à-regret (The Regretful Climb) themselves.
Well yes, because what really happened was one upper class being replaced by another. The workers/lower class was exploited throughout, and that never changed.
Politicians are supposed to be representatives of the people, but no matter where you live right now, they're owned by corporations, and champion corporate interests. Corporations are not our friends. Thus by extension, politicians aren't either.
Guillotines
As a Klingon, this feels like an acceptable answer.
Just don't subscribe. When netflix pissed me off, I unsubscribed. When Adobe moved to a subscription based platform, I forced myself to learn alternative applications (although I still have a copy of Adobe Creative Suite from 2003 which I am still using on old laptop when needed). When Microsoft started charging a subscription to use "office" apps, I switched to LibreOffice. During Covid when I wasn't using my gym membership I cancelled it and used that $75/month savings to start building a home gym setup (it ain't great, but its better than nothing!)
If something is a subscription, I either find an alternative program/service, or simply don't use it.
Ive been on the phone for an hour and they wont let me fucking cancel
Found the best answer is telling them you can’t afford it anymore, followed by telling them everything negative about your life in a lifeless tone. After a while, they’ll do anything to get you off the phone.
You can also tell your credit card company that you attempted to cancel but they won't let you, and all future charges from that merchant should be refused.
Soooo... I'm pirating my country?
*IRS whants to know your location
Cancelling the US subscription is really hard, they actually charge you a premium for the cancellation service. I have been working on it for a while, but the customer service is just atrocious.
One. Hundred. Fucking. Percent.
They call it a 'rentier' based capitalism where you never get to own anything, just have to keep paying for the same thing over and over. It is insane.
Ya rent from who? Someone still fucking owns everything. "You can just rent it!" says the guy who fucking owns it. Fuck that.
I mean businesses under capitalism have to support themselves somehow. On the web if you're not a storefront you basically have to either advertise or offer subs.
