Seems like a good time for me to try out GrapheneOS, if/when this price ever goes live

That's the exact use I have for it in mind, a secondary phone to play around with custom ROMs :-)
I LITERALLY BOUGHT ONE LAST NIGHT THEN CHANGED MY MIND AND CANCELED THE ORDER BECAUSE OF PRICE
your gut feeling saved you $150 😁
Checked the store like 50 times since then. On Google itself it lists the sale price but when you click through its still 349
looks like it's out of stock already on Google Fi (see edit), might have to wait to see if they'll still go through with the deal on Google Store
I love my 6a, great phone. Shitty finger print reader, though.
I hate mine. Crashes and reboots unexpectedly all the time. It's also an awkward size, too tall for the width.
Either factory restart or you got a faulty unit. Not even pixels, but no phone manufacturer designs their phones to intentionally crash and reboot all the time.
Obviously it's not intentionally designed to do so, and a factory restart didn't resolve the problem. The phone is just a lemon.
I bought a used one on Amazon last week for $200
However, it turned out to be the Verizon version which can never have the OS replaced due to its locked bootloader.
I returned it and bought a 7a instead, but if this sale had been available at the time I would have saved a bundle and gone with the 6a
I bought the 7a too, on launch day 🙃 (but they at least included the Pixel A buds). If I waited until now though I would probably have made a different decision. Guess patience pays!
The 7 and 7a are both $450 if you want an extra year of updates
Has anyone tried it with mint mobile? My mother is searching for a new phone, this looks good enough.
yes, i have one running on mint esim. it works.
I don't know Mint Mobile but aren't they just another mobile network operator using SIM and eSIM cards?
if you want a frustrating fingerprint reader experience, this is the phone for you.
I really miss having a dedicated fingerprint reader on the rear.
No problems here.
