Correct me if I’m wrong but worrying about this seems silly to me, especially if you’re not a mac user. In order to be accurate the AI would have to be trained on data from the exact model keyboard you have. So you’d have to know exactly what model keyboard your target uses, and get one yourself, then record and analyze all of the keystrokes. I’m sure at some point in the future some crazy person will create a database of every keyboard known to man and then maybe all bets are off, but right now it just seems like a lot of work for something that can be achieved in other ways. Am I missing something?

Maybe make a keyboard that makes random keystroke noises while typing passwords?

I mean really you can just have your phone play fart noises, the sound doesn't matter as long as it's loud enough

Wouldn’t using backspaces and/or uncommon symbols help as well? Along with the other suggestions.

Uncommon symbols could help a bit but not enough to keep your information safe. Backspaces would be trained in the dataset for sure. Also, as this practice matures it’ll become increasingly difficult to prevent.

Maybe using a configurable optical switch keyboard and a script that randomizes the actuation points when typing passwords would help then? I don’t know what the long-term solution for AI capturing passwords is.
