I just finished watching Season 6. I was expecting the same realistic, grounded, futuristic stories as in previous seasons, but this time, the show took a more metaphoric approach. I liked the new flavor that Charlie Brooker added, but in that one episode it felt too fictional for Black Mirror (yes metaphorically it was spot on but still). I so wanna share my thoughts but being mindful of the spoilers as of now esp for the ones using mobile app lol.

But honestly I did enjoy. Full credits for the soundtracks choice. The majority were impeccable and blended soo nicely with the scenes. I've compiled a Spotify playlist of all the songs. I've also linked to a site that lists the songs episode by episode.

I hope you enjoy the season!

What episode was too fictional?

Overall the season was a bit meh for me. I'm not a true crime person so that loch henry episode was bland for me. The ending really brought the concept together though.

The Netflix quantum episode was good and very Black Mirror. We have a small amount of that now so their leap is believable.

Also loved the spacemen episode with hutcherson. It was basically a movie and an interesting one that prompts some deep thoughts.

The paparazzi one I liked but it felt a bit on the nose at times. I don't live in that world though so idk but they're are those cartoonish vultures out there.

I enjoyed the demon episode just from a pure entertainment perspective. But I'm not sure what the message or parable was

that paparazzi one, yes the message was clear but for someone who's watched Black Mirror it definitely felt off. As I said, this season has gone more towards a thought-provoking approach that aims to spark conversations about the justifications and implications of the messages being presented rather being straightforward on future and tech this time.
