We're there any reviews posted at all from the supposed 3k+ reviews? Amazon quality really has gone to the shitter these days.

Not a prism, but it could be 2 pieces of polarized glass with a sheet made of bits of cellophane in different orientations in the middle. That can turn out very pretty, this link has some videos attached to show off what it could look like.

The broken glass really stinks though.
