U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday delayed his new 25% tariffs on most Mexican exports to the United States for four weeks after hearing directly from Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum on how her government had helped curb the flow of migrants and the deadly opioid fentanyl into the United States.

Maybe he thinks easying it in will reduce the shock, the same way you lower and raise your for into a bath that's too hot does. But he probably doesn't think and is only reacting. Ignoring that the water is going to stay hot no matter how hard he delays. We may get used to the quasi in our state so the market only gets the most rational decision when it comes down for good, but how much do we get hurt with each pull back, and how much does normalizing this uncertainty rot our senses? Even if the market doesn't over react, we will still burn ourselves. For what?
