It doesn't seem like a good idea to put a solar panel on the back of the screen. Solar panels get hot enough to burn you, it will cook whatever electronics are stuck behind it.
I agree not a good idea.
If the had a screen that was also e-ink screen that pretty much powers off while in the sun, that might work.
