As romcom misunderstandings go, at least the one in this episode didn't feel too contrived.

I still hate it, though! :)

I paused the episode and wanted to yell at the screen when they did that. Stupid misunderstanding romcom tropes make me want to drop a show immediately.

Pulled myself together though and continued watching, and thankfully this one doesn't seem to play out as I feared. It might even have given Yamada the necessary push to give Yukari a clear answer... which can only be a no, right? RIGHT?

Akane's confession got Yukari-blocked, but that scene in front of the konbini with her and Yamada was very sweet. Almost as good as a confession.

haha, after all the work has done to establish Yamada and Akane's mutual feelings. To take a hard u-turn to end the season with Yamada and Yukari becoming a couple would be so bold. I almost want it to happen now so we can go "WHAT DID I JUST WATCH?" together as the show goes completely off the rails. Almost; there's other shows to fill that niche.

For this show I'm hoping that Yamada will have a more emotionally-mature response to Yukari to show his growth compared to the beginning of the season.

the rain scene was absolutely gorgeous. i guess i tend to like rain scenes in anime and how they tend to be used in setting mood (haruhi's rain ep is one of my favorites from that series). i guess losing glasses is kind of tropey but it kinda feels like it has a bit of symbolism here too. i also liked the brief flashes of portrait outline throughout the ep.

Those confession timings are kind of insane but the episode was really good. Preemprtively sad for Yukari, she is gonna have face rejection next episode most likely, even though she could have been the FL in her own anime. It's always the cool, black-haired glasses girl that gets the short-hand of the stick in these rom-coms smh.

Can't wait for the last episode, we'll see if Akane actually confesses this season or not :o

Momo in the title card being like "WHERE AM I?" had me cracking up. Love this show!

Definitely one of the best romance Animes I've seen so far. But Kubo-san wa Mob wo Yurusanai and Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsu no Ma ni ka Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken were also really good. Can't wait for new seasons!
