1% performance increase, 30 new marketing buzzwords, and trying to make it seem like they wanted to do the usbc change because they love their users that much instead of being forced to stop being assholes isn't enough for people to care anymore.
It's absurdly expensive with no real benefit anymore..and this goes for Samsung or whatever big android branded phones too.
The world is tired of 'smart'phones bullshit, thankfully.
No for sure! For example my girlfriend was on a iPhone 7 until it finally died last month. When looking around she settled on my iPhone SE 2 because "This does literally everything a new phone does. It's good enough"
Wouldn't be surprised if smart phone sales come to trickle in the top end and the mid/low end phone markets heat up while inflation does its thing.
Eg: my Pixel 6a has been wonderful and is what I recommend to others since it's relatively cheap for its performance.
