I'm not sure if this is a Lemmy.world issue or a Connect issue. Any time there's a refresh of any kind, I see a lot of these errors. Sometimes the majority of pictures not displaying.

Hi, I added some retry logic to the latest version on beta. I think that should mitigate this issue. Cheers!
Can confirm - seeing the same issue. Clearing the cache seems to resolve it.

Same here. It's particularly noticeable when I open a post then go back to the feed. It seems like the image previews that should be cached don't display, but newly loaded image previews as you scroll to new posts display correctly.
