your primary instance (lemmy.world) and lemm.ee already have conservative communities so they're both clearly amenable to it; either one is your best bet.

If your post meets the following criteria, it's welcome here!
- Open-ended question
- Not offensive: at this point, we do not have the bandwidth to moderate overtly political discussions. Assume best intent and be excellent to each other.
- Not regarding using or support for Lemmy: context, see the list of support communities and tools for finding communities below
- Not ad nauseam inducing: please make sure it is a question that would be new to most members

I do not know of any instances focusing on religious communities, but I assume most general-purpose instances would be fine with you opening a religious community. If you search communities you will find lots of existing religious ones across several of the large instances, though they are generally not very active. If you find that the community you want already exists, but is dead, consider taking it over and bringing it back to life.
For a particular religion or just to discuss religion? I would be interested in hosting such a community :)
For OpenChristian mainly.
Although, if it goes well, I might consider potentially attempting to expand it by bringing other subs like:
or others
I have already done Queer_Muslims
I wouldn't mind the extra help.
Which religion are you/looking for?
EDIT: OpenChristian is now up.
For an OpenChristian community, you are welcome to take over [email protected]. The existing mod is long gone. Let me know if you want it.
Sure, I'll take it.
Thanks for sharing! :)
Iβm running two small communities at
[email protected] (my own instance)
If you would like to start running religion focused communities we can create a religion network. Maybe call it βLemmy Religions Networkβ or something. You may prefer larger instances but I would be happy to run something on my instance as well.
I wonder if there could potentially be an instance called "Lemmy Religions Network", that is basically just an Instance for religious communities to be under?
That way, users who are specifically interested and looking for religious communities know what to look for.
Either that or just include a linkable list in the sidebar of each com.
Or perhaps a Federated Website, and then just link the website when you want to make the linkable list?
I'm not sure I know what this means :O
Radical idea but what if we didn't spread propaganda on lemmy
