Yiheng was so close to sub-3. A little lock on the pll. I guess that’s why he was both exciting (first time I’ve seen him so happy) and a little bit frustrated.

Yiheng finally has both single and average.

From cuberoot description:
- This is the first time in nearly 7 years that same person has held WR for both 3x3 single and avg. The last person who held this titile was Feliks Zemdegs.
- He is the first person since Feliks Zemdegs to hold the current 3x3 and 2x2 WRs.

Oh… ok. I understand now his reaction: he could have made the first sub-3 as well as breaking the record.

Yiheng also beat the unofficial 3.084 Matty Hiroto Inaba's stunning record.
Only 0.003 s. less!

@threelonmusketeers Sorry for the mistake. Max had a 3.13 single. And before him, Yusheng Du had a 3.47 solve.
