I like Liz Warren, but it is awfully dumb shit to wait until Republicans have a trifecta to propose this stuff. Maybe she should have floated this in 2021 when Dems had power.

She did introduce it when Dems had power. It didn't go anywhere for some reason.
But I agree in a broader sense. I like Warren, but bills that both won't go anywhere and aren't messaging for something that will make the Republicans look way out of step with the populace don't seem useful. Crisis pregnancy centers are gross, but even on the abortion front of doesn't seem like a top tier issue.
Crisis pregnancy centers are just propaganda mills dressed as clinics, peddling medieval myths to trap vulnerable people. Warren’s bill is a band-aid on a gangrenous system — admirable but laughably inadequate against a GOP-controlled Congress hellbent on forced birth.
Half a billion in state funds funneled to these charlatans while real healthcare crumbles? Peak democratic dysfunction. Meanwhile, RFK Jr.’s HHS confirmation shows how deep the rot goes — anti-science zealots rewriting policy while independent media gets strangled.
We’re witnessing the death spiral of a system too corrupt to self-correct.
Seems like dumping a thimble of water on a wildfire. Would rather see efforts to DOGE being dissolved at this time.
