Incidentally this is the video that got me to be interested in exploring Peertube again.
I hope they can make this tech work, and it gets deployed on fedi. Directly paying content creators an hourly rate as I watch videos I enjoy seems like a good idea and a sustainable future for seeing more content on peertube by professional creators.
I'm not such a fan of gating things behind paywalls though, which is what some of these Web Monetization plugins seem to do.
