Keeping Track of the 2nd Trump administration!

One thing Donald Trump and the extreme right were very good at doing is burying the track record of his first presidency from 2017 to 2021.

Keep Track is dedicated to literally keeping track, day by day, of the policy decisions made by the new Trump Administration.

That is not to say we're interested in the crazy things he says or tweets, he clocked over 30,000 lies the last time he was in office, I don't see how it's possible to track all of that. This is about POLICY. Nominees, executive orders, signed laws, and so on.

Subject line format should be {{date}} {{event}} so: "01-20-2025 - Trump is sworn in."

The international date format of 2025-01-20 is also acceptable!

Links should be to verifiable news sources, not social media or blog sites. So no Xitter/Truth/Youtube/Substack/etc. etc.

Good, they deserve it for utterly failing the public this past election cycle and kissing the ring so they could keep their access. Maybe they’ll do some actual reporting now instead of regurgitating talking points.

Find and support independent journalists.

They're piping direct fascist propaganda into soldier's unquestioning ears for when the time comes to turn them onto the American public. That's not "Good."

I understand the frustration at NYT, Washington Post, even NPR. I'm a disabled queer leftist, they have had hit pieces at my kind for decades. I don't understand calling this a good thing, because they had a broken clock moments in 2024?

Bro, they're piping the Post and Breitbart directly into soldier ears and you say "Good?"

"Fascist propaganda aimed at soldiers is good when the previous news orgs lightly criticized my Dear Leader in Blue."

Did I say anything about Biden or Harris?

I said good that the kowtowing news orgs that sanewashed Trump all of 2024 lost their privileged access. They helped prop up that fascist flesh balloon as a viable candidate. Either in the hopes he wouldn’t retaliate against them or to make money. Lo and behold he retaliated anyway. It’s almost like the guy known for stiffing contractors shouldn’t be trusted.

Obviously it’s not good that they’ve been replaced with propaganda networks but when the big media is too afraid to counter him or is owned by his supporters is there much of a difference?

As I said in my original post: support independent journalists or even Wired.com at this point. They seem to be the only ones willing to cover shit anymore. I have a few recommendations if you want them.

With the caveat of "actual journalism". Too many "journalists" just rehashing social media posts, not nearly enough in-depth investigative journalism.

I'd also like to see less editorialization of news-worthy topics, and more "Here are the facts, in their entirety".

But yes, fuck the corporatized mass media in general. Obviously there are some exceptions, but those holding the purse strings can all collectively fuck off.

I guess all that pandering the NYT did didn't pay off for them, fuckers.

It’s like nobody ever learnt anything.

What? When did HuffPost go fascist?

[–] Zexks 9 points 8 hours ago

It’s so it’s not completely obvious that they’re stacking them as a propaganda setup. Notice HuffPost is the only left leaning setup here and they’re rag anyways.
