imo these communities are too small to start spinning off into subgenres but I'd join if you made it
RPG
Discussion of table top roleplaying games.
Yeah I'm also worrying about that. If people feel like rpg design discussion fits in this community I might just post here from time to time
IMO with the size of Lemmy, there is no point in rebuilding every subreddit. Discussing all aspect of RPG from design to larp in one /c might be sufficient to get new content posted every day, having 5 communities with one post a week isn't how you get a living audience
Definitely makes sense. I think I'll keep it in this community for now.
Are you thinking design your own RPG system, or design an adventure using a pre-existing system?
I'm in the process of writing my own TTRPG so I'd be interested in having a space to discuss, share ideas, get feedback, maybe find playtesters, etc. I joined this community because as a space dedicated to RPGs but not specific to a single one of them, I thought it might be open to that sort of thing.
Great, look forward to hearing some of your ideas! Seems like this community is open to such topics and given the small size of lemmy at the moment, it might be best to keep it all under one main rpg community.
I would definitely be interested!
Right on! For now I think I'll stick with posting in this community from time to time. If lemmy continues to grow maybe someday a separate RPG design community would be worthwhile (:
