Where is the hardware from? The opener on the left looks vintage.

A handmade home for woodworkers and admirers of woodworkers. Our community icon is a planter box made by @Captain Aggravated, the winner of our summer '24 woodworking contest. Congratulations!
Bump, I'm curious about this myself!
I bought them online brand new but added distress with sand paper, wax and sawdust.
I'm puzzled... How do they work?
You hang them on a wall. Use the opener and the cap falls down into the little box. They are fairly common here in mexico but Im not sure if they are a worldwide thing.
Thanks, now it makes sense. I initially thought you had to place the bottle in the box and perform some Kind of magic unknown to me. Never seen something lille that in Germany. But here actually everything is seen as a bottle opener if used right ;-)
Looks great! Love how something like this can be super fun. Can even get try hard sometimes and do fancier stuff
Goodb job!
thanks! It was indeed fun, and making something that is fast and easy but gets people happy is rewarding.
ya its like, minimal stress but you get a big reaction
shizz like this is what made me wanna get into woodburning (im still no good) and potentially a laser engraver or something
So cool man, I aspire to make stuff like this
Ha, I'm not sure if this is sarcasm. But I'll take it as a compliment.
It's genuine, I'm veeeery amateur lol
Ha, thanks again then.
Do you have any tools? Start with easy stuff, like a box or a simple bench. Also don't get hung up if things don't line up perfectly, you can always correct a little. And sanding paper is your friend!
I have some work horses and a buzzsaw, but a bench is inbound, people like you have inspired me to try and commit to the hobby :)
