And that's very bad. Especially considering how bad the preinstalled telephony apps turned of android the last few years.

Because it's buggy and unstable, and leaks a bunch of metadata

It might be fine for group chats/channels (if you can live with the occasional instability), but it's not at all a good option for direct messaging.

Good question. Matrix is a federated app even if it does not use ActivityPub. I guess, it make sense to convaince switcher to move to the easier app but the title of the infographic mention the fediverse after all.

Seriously, yeah please if you could. I’ve looked at the app and the webpage and can’t see a login option.
